Nest Hub Max Could Soon Run On Google’s New Fuchsia OS

Over the years, it has been discovered that Google is working on a new operating system called Fuchsia. The platform is meant to be used on multiple platforms such equally phones, tablets, and other smart devices. It made its debut on the original Nest Hub smart display, and now it looks like Google is getting ready to push it out to Nest Hub Max devices.

This would make the Nest Hub Max the second device from Google to run on the new operating system. This is according to 9to5Google who discovered a comment on code change in Fuchsia, and was later confirmed by Google that they accept begun to test Fuchsia on the Nest Hub Max.

Withal, the testing is being done via dogfooding, which is basically a term that indicates that the company has started to utilize the software themselves internally. As the publication notes, it is one of the terminal steps of internal testing amidst Google employees, including those not involved directly with the projection, before Google makes information technology bachelor to the public.

When Google updated the original Nest Hub with Fuchsia, it was more to prove that information technology could be used to replace the Linux-based OS that the company had previously used. There were some teething bug, as to be expected with new software, but it was ultimately sorted out. Google has been working on Fuchsia for years so information technology will be interesting to see if this update to the Nest Hub Max could be a sign of bigger things to come.
